The Weber Warriors suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 63-43 defeat at the hands of Fremont. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Weber has suffered against Fremont since January 19, 2021.
Despite the defeat, Weber saw an underclassman step up: Rylee Jugler dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Sayer, who scored 12 points.
Weber's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10. As for Fremont, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Weber will head out on the road to challenge Layton at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Layton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Fremont, they will be playing at home against Syracuse at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Syracuse is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
