The Barrington Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Cumberland Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Barrington faced the Patriots in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Barrington walked away with a 66-59 victory over the Patriots. The win was familiar territory for Barrington who now have five in a row.
Nick Scandura continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Matt Raffa, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Cumberland waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Mt. Pleasant by a score of 57-44.
Barrington's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Cumberland, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Barrington came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clippers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 56-54. Will Barrington repeat their success, or do the Clippers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
