The Graham Red Devils suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Southeast Alamance 81-45. Graham's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it four in a row.
Despite the defeat, Graham saw an underclassman step up: Micah Woods scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woods has scored all season. Jaylan Sinclair was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Southeast Alamance got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Davian Edwards out in front who scored 19 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Cardell West, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Graham bumped their record down to 1-13 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southeast Alamance, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Graham on the road again on Friday and play against Bartlett Yancey at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Bartlett Yancey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday. As for Southeast Alamance, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cummings at 7:30 p.m. Cummings is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
