Volleyball Recap: Queen Creek Wins Going Away Against South Mountain

Queen Creek's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the South Mountain Jaguars as the Queen Creek Bulldogs made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won three in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Queen Creek was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-4.

Orlando Petrie was the offensive standout of the match as he had six aces.

Petrie wasn't the only good server: Queen Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Queen Creek now has a winning record of 2-1. As for South Mountain, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Queen Creek and Basha will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 5:30 p.m. on March 20th. South Mountain will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Valley Vista at 5:00 p.m. on March 21st.
