Two dominant guards in Austin Joyner and Kameron Taylor are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hunt Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the West Johnston Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hunt's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Even though South Johnston scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Hunt still came out on top. Hunt walked away with a 67-57 win over South Johnston. Given Hunt's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while South Johnston is ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Johnston proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 36) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past C.B. Aycock 52-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Johnston.
Hunt is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for West Johnston, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Hunt didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against West Johnston in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hunt since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
