Carlson's tough 59-38 defeat to Flat Rock on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Carlson has not had much luck with Flat Rock recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Flat Rock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Klein, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Klein has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madleen Hussein, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Carlson now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Flat Rock, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Monroe is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Flat Rock, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary Catholic Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary Catholic Central will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
