Putnam had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They lost to Forest Grove by a decisive 13-33 margin. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Putnam off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Forest Grove a 1-0 record.
Putnam will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts at 7:00 PM. As for Forest Grove, they will face off against Wilson.
