North Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 15-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Woodburn Bulldogs. On the bright side, the 14- run performance marked the Vikings' highest-scoring match to date.

North Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Woodburn, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Salem will take on McKay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings are facing the Royal Scots at the right time seeing as the Royal Scots are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Woodburn, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Marshfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
