The Riverside Frontiers will head out on the road to take on the Emerson Vo-Tech Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Riverside and six for Emerson Vo-Tech dating back to last season.
Last Monday, Riverside lost to Kenmore West at home by a decisive 54-40 margin. While losing is never fun, Riverside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 714th, while Kenmore West is ranked 298th).
Despite their defeat, Riverside saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Javon Elliot, who scored 13 points, was perhaps the best of all. Landon Jaeckle was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Emerson Vo-Tech, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-53 loss to East on Thursday.
Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Emerson Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
