After taking the lead on a
Brett Hildebrand touchdown run in the first quarter,
McNary (Keizer, Ore.) led 28-0 at the half.
The Celtics expanded their lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. McNary scored once in the quarter on a
Hayden Gosling touchdown pass to
Tanner Walker.
Gosling stood out for MHS in the win. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Keizer school entered the contest giving up 28.6 points per game this year.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Celtics came away with a 26-19 victory.
The loss comes after North Salem defeated McKay 19-16 last week. The loss ended North Salem's two-game winning streak. The win brought McNary's winning streak to three games.
In a 6A Central Valley game next week McNary (4-2) takes on Sprague, and North Salem (2-4) will go up against West Salem also in a 6A Central Valley game.
