The Sandpoint Bulldogs won against the West Valley Eagles last Tuesday with 66 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Sandpoint simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Valley 66-9 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-7.
Sandpoint had a senior duo take command as Karlie Banks scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals and Aliya Strock scored 20 points along with 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Banks has scored at least 25% of Sandpoint's points. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Tomco, who scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Sandpoint and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for West Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Sandpoint will head out on the road to face off against East Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Lakeland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday.
