The Mt. Rainier Rams lost against the Auburn Trojans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mt. Rainier had to suffer through a rough 76-38 loss at the hands of Auburn. Mt. Rainier has not had much luck with Auburn recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mt. Rainier still got an impressive performance from Zach Luz, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Luz's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chris Martinez, who scored 8 points.
Mt. Rainier now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Auburn, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Rainier will challenge Kentridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Auburn, they will head out on the road to face off against Beamer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Beamer will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
