We expected Northside to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Westgate on Friday, and they did. Northside ended up on the wrong side of a painful 54-24 walloping at Westgate's hands. If the Vikings were hoping to take revenge for the 47-0 loss against the Tigers the last time the teams met in November of last year, then they were left disappointed.
Northside's defeat makes it four in a row and drags their record down to 1-8. The win bumped Westgate's record up to 9-2.
Northside will take on Teurlings Catholic at 7 p.m. ET on Friday at home. Northside has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. As for Westgate, they will go up against Carencro at 7 p.m. ET. These teams both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
