After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Madison Central, the Brandon Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against D'Iberville by a score of 63-51. Given Brandon's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while D'Iberville is ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nate White was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Braylon Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Brandon now has a winning record of 8-7. As for D'Iberville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Brandon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jefferson Davis County at 4:30 a.m. on December 29th. Jefferson Davis County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for D'Iberville, they will be playing at home against Meridian at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
