The Tooele Buffaloes had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were the victim of a rough 55-30 defeat at the hands of Hunter on Tuesday. Tooele lost against Hunter in their previous head to head back in November of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 58-32 score last time.
Tooele's loss came despite strong showings from Halle Hogan and Josie Kennedy. Hogan scored 9 points, while Kennedy scored 2 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Among those leading the charge was Kalysa Ng, who scored 15 points along with 7 steals and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Grace Gallagher, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Tooele's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hunter, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Tooele will be playing in front of their home fans against Salt Lake Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 29th. As for Hunter, they will head out on the road to face off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Skyline comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
