Red Mountain is 2-8 against Mountain View since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Red Mountain Mountain Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Mountain View Toros at 7:00 p.m. Red Mountain will be strutting in after a win while Mountain View will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Skyline scored an imposing 62 points on Wednesday, Red Mountain still came out on top. Red Mountain took their contest against Skyline 72-62. Given Red Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Skyline is ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Bryce Bigler, who scored 26 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Lindsey, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Mountain View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell to Dobson 55-50.
The win got Red Mountain back to even at 10-10. As for Mountain View, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
Red Mountain came up short against Mountain View when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 46-33. Can Red Mountain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
