Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Stillwater walked away with it. They came out on top against the Greenwich Witches by a score of 9-5 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Eden Resch made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off 11 hits. Resch was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Resch wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Katie Coogan, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Emery Powers was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Stillwater's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Greenwich, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.
