Yucca Valley is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Wilson is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Yucca Valley Trojans will take on the Wilson Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Yucca Valley humbled Twentynine Palms with a 83-7 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 70-7.
Myles Harper was his usual excellent self, rushing for 225 yards and four touchdowns, while also picking up 55 receiving yards. Harper's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ramos jr, who threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes.
Meanwhile, Wilson got themselves on the board against Baldwin Park on Thursday, but Baldwin Park never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 23-0 win.
It was another big night for Dominic Ezeonye, who rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry.
Their wins bumped Yucca Valley to 7-3 and Wilson to 9-1.
