When it comes to explaining why Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Claire Owens. Despite the final result, she scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for St. James, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. As for St. James, they will head out on the road to face off against Conway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Conway is ranked 122nd, while St. James is ranked 115th).
