The Crestline Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 54-16 loss at the hands of Mansfield Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crestline in their matchups with Mansfield Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.
Defeat or not, Crestline got some senior leadership from Kennedi Sipes and Kendall Huffman. Sipes scored five points along with four steals, while Huffman. scored four points. Sipes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
Crestline has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Mansfield Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestline will square off against Hardin Northern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hardin Northern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Mansfield Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Grove City Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
