You might not recognize the power rankings this week after a busy last week rearranged the teams a whole lot. Among the games was a one-point thriller between Carl Albert and Del City.
Welcome
Choctaw repeated its 35-point performance from the game before for another record-booster in its most recent game. It had all the answers against Eisenhower, winning 35 - 14. Senior Blake Muse deserves a lot of the credit as he ran for 253 yards and also punched in three touchdowns. Thanks to its success, Choctaw cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 25th spot.
Can't Touch This
Blanchard got a 34 - 0 win over Anadarko last week, and a key reason for the win was junior Bryce Madron. Madron earned four touchdowns and 292 yards rushing the ball. That performance landed Madron among the top power-ranked players for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Carl Albert and Del City, 1st and 15th in the power rankings, respectively. Carl Albert battled it out with Del City for a well-earned 32 - 31 overtime win. Carl Albert was the clear favorite in this matchup, so the near-loss was an unusual surpise.
No Stoppin 'Em
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 76-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Yukon breezed past Moore with a final score of 49 - 27. As a result, Yukon rose two spots in the power rankings.
