The Goleman Gators waltzed into Monday's game with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 46-36 win over Coral Gables. Given Goleman's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Coral Gables is ranked 557th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Edwards. Another player making a difference was Jasmin Brown, who scored 14 points along with five steals.

Goleman's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Coral Gables, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Goleman will head out on the road to face off against North Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (North Miami Beach: 23.8, Goleman: 25.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
