Even though the Bear River Bears have not done well against the Sky View Bobcats recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bear River walked away with a 68-55 win over Sky View. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Bridger Barfuss, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kyver Jensen, who scored 16 points.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Liam Guthrie, who scored 14 points. Bryton Williams was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Bear River's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Sky View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Bear River will play host again and welcome Ridgeline, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgeline is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Sky View, they will head out on the road to challenge Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Logan is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
