The McLean County Cougars had to start their season on the road  on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a  59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Todd County Central. McLean County lost against Todd County Central in their previous head to head  back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the  64-43 score last time.
 Despite the loss, McLean County still got an impressive performance from   Sarah Miller, who  scored 17 points along with 5  rebounds.  Kenadi Level was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points along with 5  rebounds.
 Todd County Central can attribute much of their success to  Alexis Taylor, who  dropped  a double-double on 24 points and 15  rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which  Taylor has scored at least 25% of Todd County Central's points. Another player making a difference was  Abby Williams, who  scored 14 points.
 McLean County's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Todd County Central,  the  victory  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 McLean County will head out on the road to face off against Hopkins County Central at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Todd County Central, they have the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome Creek Wood at 6:00  p.m.  on December 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in their respective states (Creek Wood is ranked 80th in Tennessee, while Todd County Central is ranked 89th in Kentucky).
