The Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-28 loss at the hands of Arcanum. Mississinawa Valley has struggled against Arcanum recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Aron Hunt and Cing Scott certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hunt scored nine points, while Scott scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Arcanum was led to victory by Brady Lock and Regan Christ. Lock scored ten points along with three steals, while Christ scored 20 points along with five rebounds. The game was Christ's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Mccans, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Mississinawa Valley bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Arcanum, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.
Mississinawa Valley will be playing at home against Lehman Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehman Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mississinawa Valley in Ohio (Lehman Catholic is ranked 251st, while Mississinawa Valley is ranked 810th). As for Arcanum, they will head out on the road to face off against National Trail at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
