Wadsworth has been on the road for four straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the North Royalton Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Wadsworth is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bears in Ohio (the Grizzlies are ranked 46th, while the Bears are ranked 456th).
Last Monday, Wadsworth escaped with a win against the Blue Streaks by the margin of a single free throw, 27-26.
Meanwhile, North Royalton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their ninth straight defeat. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hudson.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brooklyn Gambino, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Avery Keitlen, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Wadsworth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for North Royalton, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Everything came up roses for Wadsworth against the Bears when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 53-26 victory. With Wadsworth ahead 29-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
