Softball Recap: Sierra Vista Wins Going Away Against Eldorado

Sierra Vista's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eldorado Firehawks with a sharp 22-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Mountain Lions, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Sierra Vista got a massive performance out of Zoe Logan, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Logan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Janelle Robinson, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Sierra Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Sierra Vista's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Eldorado, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Sierra Vista will take on Bonanza at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eldorado, they will face off against Doral Academy Red Rock at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Firehawks surely won't give up without a fight.
