For the first time this season, Kerman will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Kerman is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Dos Palos: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Lions blew the Broncos out of the water with a 42-9 final score. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matchups by 33 points or more so far this season.

09/13/25 @ Hanford West | 3 |

Kerman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrian Torres out in front who threw for 218 yards and three TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Torres has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Jorge Antunez was another key player, gaining 88 total yards and two touchdowns.
Kerman's run defense was locked in: Dos Palos could only muster 2.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Vaughn Blunt for the heroic effort on defense: he. Kerman didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.8.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Valley Christian). They claimed a resounding 49-7 win over Mission College Prep. With the Cavaliers ahead 35-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Kerman better keep an eye on Ja'Khari Burrell. He was instrumental in Central Valley Christian's win, rushing for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Another player making a difference was Nathan Peters, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes.
Kerman pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.7 points on average over those games. As for Central Valley Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Kerman has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 372 total yards per game. It's a different story for Central Valley Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 219.4 total yards. Will Kerman be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Cavaliers flip the script?
Kerman didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Central Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 17-12 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
