Baseball Recap: Rolling Meadows Has No Trouble Against Round Lake

Rolling Meadows never let their opponents score on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Round Lake Panthers. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

Cam Wachtel looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Joe Brigham was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Tyler Stankiewicz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Rolling Meadows was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive games.

Rolling Meadows' record now sits at 4-0. As for Round Lake, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Rolling Meadows will take on Waukegan at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Round Lake, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Belvidere at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
