On Thursday, the Tolman Tigers faced the Ponaganset Chieftains in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Tolman took a 26-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ponaganset. Tolman has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ponaganset can attribute much of their success to Trevor Lytle, who picked up 80 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Tolman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Ponaganset, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
After both having extra time off, Tolman and Shea will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 4:00 p.m. on November 21st. Shea is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Ponaganset will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Burrillville at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
