The Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals and the Chadwick Dolphins squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals had to settle for second. Santa Clarita Christian took a serious blow against Chadwick, falling 43-14. Santa Clarita Christian's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Santa Clarita Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Cayden Rappleye and Eli Duhm. Rappleye rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown, while Duhm picked up 149 receiving yards and a touchdown. Duhm was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards.
It was another big night for Thomas Rosso, who threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Joshua Goodman was in the mix as well, providing Chadwick with two touchdowns.
Santa Clarita Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Chadwick, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
Santa Clarita Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chadwick will head out on the road to face off against Avalon at 5:00 p.m. on November 11th. Avalon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
