Cosumnes Oaks will bounce into Friday's game after beating Pleasant Grove, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wolfpack walked away with an 11-6 win over the Eagles on Thursday. Considering the Wolfpack's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Jayden Graham made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Graham was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

In other batting news, Mya Felizardo was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Sophia Platner was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Cosumnes Oaks was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .514. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Sheldon nor Laguna Creek made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Huskies put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
The result came thanks to Kwinci Brown's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Micah Kennedy and Sinitalela Heleta did most of the damage at the plate: Kennedy went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Heleta went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Kennedy's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Makayla Keseloff, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Cosumnes Oaks' victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Sheldon, their record is now 7-3.
Cosumnes Oaks' speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Wolfpack have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Sheldon, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Cosumnes Oaks continue to outrun the ball?
Cosumnes Oaks couldn't quite get it done against Sheldon when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 10-6. Can the Wolfpack avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
