Luke Deperno Turns in Season-Best Effort
West Ranch came up short on Friday despite Luke Deperno delivering his best game to date. Deperno rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.
Deperno must have Hart's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Deperno last faced the Hawks back in September of 2023, he rushed for 262 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.

Saugus' victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Long and Saugus will challenge West Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
