Meanwhile, Carvers Bay put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They breezed by Scott's Branch at home to the tune of 58-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Carvers Bay has posted since December 12, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carvers Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerchel Geathers-Washington, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Geathers-Washington is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Jasmyn Jenkins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Johnsonville's loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.8 points per game. As for Carvers Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Johnsonville was taken down by Carvers Bay 63-7 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Johnsonville was down 32-6.
