Collinwood have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Loretto on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Collinwood is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
Collinwood might have drawn first blood against Mt. Pleasant two weeks ago, but it was Mt. Pleasant who got the last laugh. Collinwood lost to Mt. Pleasant by a decisive 13-30 margin. Collinwood's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Jeremiah Tidwell, who rushed for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Loretto suffered a grim 19-49 defeat to Lewis County last Friday. Loretto were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-36.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
