Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Pieper's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Pieper won the last time they faced Smithson Valley, and Arianna Davis did her part to make sure it happened again. The Pieper Warriors took down the Smithson Valley Rangers 50-31 on Friday thanks in part to Davis, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 18 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Smithson Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cyanna Cavazos, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Lindner, who had eight points.

Pieper is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Smithson Valley, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
