Even though the Holland Patent Golden Knights scored an imposing 85 points on Tuesday, the Rome Free Academy Black Knights still came out on top. Rome Free Academy took down Holland Patent 101-85. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rome Free Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Norries dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten rebounds, and 11 assists, while Grimes scored 34 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Rome Free Academy will head out on the road to face off against Baldwinsville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Baldwinsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Rome Free Academy is ranked 41st). Holland Patent will be home for the holidays to greet Vernon-Verona-Sherrill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Vernon-Verona-Sherrill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday.
