The Saxony Lutheran Crusaders can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Doniphan at home to the tune of 75-33. With Saxony Lutheran ahead 39-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Saxony Lutheran had a senior duo take command as John Hartmann scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals and Luke Eggemeyer dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Eggemeyer has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 13 times he's played. Blake Gaebler was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Saxony Lutheran's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-7. As for Doniphan, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saxony Lutheran will take on St. Vincent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Doniphan, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Neelyville at 6:00 p.m.
