On Friday, the Woodinville Falcons faced the Bothell Cougars in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Woodinville beat Bothell by the very same score they won with last week: 52-42. Winning may never get old, but Woodinville sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Bothell's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Charlotte Lipkin, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, and Yuna McConnell who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of McKylee Hawkins, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Woodinville pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their 16th straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for Bothell, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.
Woodinville will take on Newport - Bellevue at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Newport - Bellevue will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Woodinville is ranked second). As for Bothell, they will head out on the road to face off against North Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
