First place in the standings of 4A Special District 1 is up for grabs this week, as
Crook County sits tied atop the standings with
Ridgeview.
Top honors in the league this week go to the Ravens, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. Ridgeview beat
La Pine 15-4 and
Madras 7-5.
The Ravens' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 21 hits and nine walks, both of which led the league.
There were six hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by George Mendazona, who collected six hits in eight at bats for a .750 average.

George Mendazona, who turned in four Ks for Ridgeview. He's second in the league with eight total strikeouts.
Mitch Spring drove in five runners on Friday in the Ravens' 7-5 victory over the White Buffaloes. He went 3-for-3 and scored one run.
