After both having extra time off, the Palo Verde Panthers and the Coronado Cougars will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Palo Verde is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Foothill, who was ranked fifth at the time (Palo Verde was ranked second). Palo Verde had just enough and edged out Foothill 3-2 last Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Palo Verde got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 44-42, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13.

Mason Manning was the offensive standout of the game as he had 28 assists and three digs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 19 assists per game.
Palo Verde couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 52.8% of their attack attempts. That's the best hitting percentage they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Coronado entered their tilt with Arbor View last Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Aggies by a score of 3-1.
The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17.
Palo Verde better keep an eye on DEACON MENLOVE. He was instrumental in Coronado's win, getting 14 digs and one assist.
Coronado pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Palo Verde, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Palo Verde skirted past Coronado 2-1 when the teams last played on March 1st. Will Palo Verde repeat their success, or does Coronado has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
