Basketball Recap: Columbia's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Jefferson Davis County came into Friday's game looking for another win against Columbia, but Christian Expose wouldn't allow it. The Columbia Wildcats blew past the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars, posting a 74-47 victory thanks in part to Expose, who posted 27 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last seven games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Darrien Peters, who put up nine points in addition to six boards and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Columbia's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Jefferson Davis County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-58 victory against West Marion on the 21st.
