The Johnson-Brock Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Sacred Heart Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Johnson-Brock picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They blew past Southern, posting a 74-29 win. The Eagles have beaten the Raiders the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Raiders has come to flipping the script.

Perhaps the best among them was Brody Koehler, who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The game was Koehler's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Deacon Bernadt was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took for 12 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Lewiston 76-28. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Irish's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Tigers are ranked 200th).
Sacred Heart's win came from a few key players that Johnson-Brock will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bo Fletcher, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 17 points and five assists. Those five assists gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brenden Lemerond, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 16 points and four steals.
Johnson-Brock's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Sacred Heart, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Johnson-Brock has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Sacred Heart struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Johnson-Brock came up short against Sacred Heart in their previous matchup on Thursday, falling 54-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lemerond, who shot 56% from the field en route to 24 points and three steals. Now that the Eagles know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
