West Jefferson is a perfect 5-0 against Greeneview since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Roughriders will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
West Jefferson's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Bishop Ready. The victory was nothing new for the Roughriders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jenna Mannon made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Payton Kincade was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Zoey Brown was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
West Jefferson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Ready only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, Greeneview waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Irish.
Like West Jefferson, Greeneview also got a great game from a two-way player: Gabbie Burkett. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Burkett was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bella Sutton, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Maddie Owens also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
West Jefferson's record is now 11-1. As for Greeneview, their record now sits at 9-7.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. West Jefferson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .482. However, it's not like Greeneview struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Jefferson took their win against Greeneview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Roughriders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
