The Mission Eagles will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Los Fresnos Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Mission's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Rowe, falling 66-31. While losing is never fun, Mission can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1332nd, while Rowe is ranked 378th).
Meanwhile, Los Fresnos pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Brookeland by a score of 61-58. Los Fresnos has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Eric Salazar, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Munoz, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Mission has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-1 record this season. As for Los Fresnos, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.
