The Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 72-62 win over Carlisle County on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Carlisle County still got an impressive performance from Carter Burnett, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Bowles, who scored 7 points.
Paducah Tilghman's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Carlisle County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Paducah Tilghman will be playing in front of their home fans against Henderson County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlisle County, they will head out on the road to face off against Marshall County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
