Lakewood was dealt a 71-29 loss at the hands of Lynden Christian on Tuesday. Lakewood has not had much luck with Lynden Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Lakewood saw an underclassman step up: Frankee Powers scored 11 points.
Lakewood now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Lynden Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oak Harbor at 7:15 p.m. on January 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Oak Harbor is ranked 171st, while Lakewood is ranked 186th). As for Lynden Christian, Lynden Christian and Ferndale will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
