Douglas stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Reed at home to the tune of 56-21. With Douglas ahead 38-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Ashlyn Greenfield was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 16 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleeah Weaver, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Reno suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a rough 48-26 loss at the hands of Spanish Springs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Reno has suffered against Spanish Springs since February 11, 2020.
Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Reno, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
