Softball Recap: Fresno Comes Up Short

Fresno suffered their closest loss since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Torres Toros by a score of 13-11. Even though they lost, the Warriors' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Emily Navarro stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Fresno's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Torres, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Coming up, Fresno will host Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Rough Riders at the right time seeing as the Rough Riders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Torres, they will challenge Madera South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
