King Academy hadn't done well against Wardlaw Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knights put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 16-7 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine runs or more this season.

King Academy pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for Wardlaw Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, King Academy will look to defend their home field on May 1 against Greenwood Christian at 5:00 p.m. As for Wardlaw Academy, they will head out to face off against Jefferson Davis Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
